Paradise 2 | Sea View & Pool Condominium | Nai Harn

Paradise 2, Sea View Apartments in Nai Harn are located in Soi 11, Baan Sai Yuan and my latest condo/apartment project. At the moment they’re 75% complete and 60% sold out. Started in March 2010, they are due to be completed in November 2010 in time for the high season in Phuket.

Even the ground floor in this property has a sea view and as you ascend the levels the views just get better and better. Up on the 3rd level can be found the ultra lounge offering the best sea views in the area, from here you can look down at the roof tops and terraces of the other homes and properties in the neighbourhood.

Paradise 2 has 5 apartments as the 2nd and 3rd floor have been converted into a master penthouse. I expect the apartments to be reasonably quiet as they won’t be rented out all the time, this will leave plenty of opportunity for you to appreciate the peace and quiet and have some privacy at the poolside. Partly the reason for this is that the owner of the penthouse, situated on levels 2 and 3, is away working for 6 months of the year and not interested in renting out his home.

There are 2 entrances to the ground floor apartment, from the front into the living room, and from the poolside into the bedroom. The great thing about the back entrance is that you can wake up in the morning and head straight out the patio doors to the pool for a wake-up refreshing dip. The other benefit is the choice it offers to sit outside all day, avoid the heat in the morning by relaxing on the bedroom balcony, and in the afternoon and evening enjoy the sunset over the mountains and breeze coming off Chalong Bay on the living room balcony.

Inside all the bathrooms and kitchen faucets provide hot water from your own hot water system, also all work surfaces and counter tops are designed in black granite.

Great views can be seen even from the first floor in these apartments and then steadily get better as you go up to the higher levels. The layout of the ground and first floors are the same apart from the balconies which differ slightly. The 1st floor balcony is accessed from the living room and measures 6m x 4m, covering a large area it has wonderful views of the ocean and mountains, you also have an unrestricted view of the Big Buddha which is quite striking. There’s more than enough room for a BBQ, Jacuzzi, a table big enough to seat 4 people, and leave room to chill out and sun bathe. 7 different islands, as well as the many different boats coming in and out of Chalong pier on fishing and diving trips can clearly be seen.

All the land between the property and the sea has already been built upon so there is no need to be concerned about property developers building and obscuring your views. This has actually happened in quite a few cases and can be frustrating, however this sea view is here to stay. When you search for a property then it makes sense to take a good look at what is situated in the area and if it looks likely that a development in the future could block your sea view.

Up to the 2nd floor and the views are even more startling. The 2nd and 3rd floors have been purchased by one owner and thus transformed into a master penthouse which makes the layout and size quite different from the lower levels.

The 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms, and a kitchen and greeting area combined with a wooden and steel open staircase leading up to the ultra lounge and roof terrace. The master bedroom measures 6m x 6m and has an ensuite bathroom with sea views from the shower. There are built in wardrobes and beds already fitted, and furnishings and décor as you would find in a 5 star hotel with silk and teak furnishings.

A window measuring 2m x 1.5 faces the bed so the first sight you see every morning is the coast line of Phuket Town, Cape Panwa and beyond. On a clear night the lights from the coastline glitter and present a magnificent view whilst in the daytime you can admire the rolling mountains as they meet the sea, watch the sun rising behind them, or gaze at the Big Buddha silhouetted against the mountains as the sun sets behind it. The views are just as good from both bedrooms as they are from all the balconies.

The size of the guest bedroom is 4m x 6m including the balcony and ensuite bathroom. Equipped with a flat screen TV mounted on the wall you have the ability to admire the sea view and watch your favourite programme at the same time.

An open plan kitchen and greeting area are divided by the staircase and each measure 4m x 5m. The custom built kitchen is complete with a centre island and 2m x 1.5m window that looks out over the jungle and sea view towards Friendship Beach as you wash the dishes. The greeting area is furnished with a sofa and flat screen TV so TV can be watched as you prepare meals.

The open plan staircase leads up to the ultra lounge that offers a stunning panoramic sea view, particularly eye catching as the whole sea-facing wall from one side of the room to the other has been fitted with green tempered reflective glass and acts as a picture frame for Chalong Bay and perfectly positioned to take full advantage of the most beautiful views in Nai Harn and Rawai. The ultra lounge is a remarkable 7m x 10m open plan design room with windows are on all walls, 2 2m x 1.5m on the back wall face the jungle and mountains, 2 more of the same size offer a sun set view on the west facing side, and 2 green reflective glass patio doors lead out on to the considerably sized 12m x 5m master balcony with views that can only be called dazzling.

Shading for the master balcony is provided by Shades tension fabric as it allows the breeze to flow through but provides enough shade against the direct heat of the sun, it also gives shelter when it rains which means you can sit outside and watch the storms appear over the island and then disappear again over the hill range and off to Kata, Karon and Patong. A Jacuzzi is placed in the closest corner of the balcony facing the sea and the ideal position for any time of the day, a pleasant cooling dip in the daytime it can also be warmed up for an evening dip. This balcony has room for an 8 seat dining table and leaves enough room for a yoga station, 2 double sun loungers and a gas heater BBQ imported from Australia and is attractively bordered by Thai tropical plants and potted flowers.

Once you manage to move away from the magnificent balcony then there is still another level to explore. Up to the sun terrace, a spectacular 7m x 10m, the view will truly take your breathe away with a panoramic vista, as the apartments are built on the highest piece of land in the area there is nothing to obstruct the scene. These views and standard of luxury in any other part of the world would cost you a lot more money. The terrace is a sun worshippers dream as it gets 6-8 hours per day, for this reason a cold water pressure shower has been added so there’s no need to go downstairs for a cooling shower, just jump under the shower and jump back onto the sun lounger.

Two apartments are still available, one on the ground floor and another on the 1st floor that both have sea views and a lot of appeal. Although still in the construction phase, if you buy now you get an off-plan discount, whereas if you buy once they are complete then the full price applies. Investing early in one of my projects offers much better value as you can buy a luxury property at a discounted price. I can guarantee that an apartment offering better value for money with these fantastic sea views will not be found within Nai Harn and Rawai or anywhere else in the South of Phuket.
